Program curriculum

Week 1

Session 1-1

Exploring the environmental impact of internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and the advantages of electric vehicles as a safe and sustainable alternative.

Session 1-2

Identifying the various types of electric vehicles (2-Wheeled, 3-Wheeled, and 4-Wheeled Vehicles) and their primary components.

Week 2

Session 2-1

Introducing MATLAB Simulink, covering installation and usage instructions for creating projects on electric vehicle usage.

Session 2-2

Learning about charging infrastructures, covering the different types available and the associated charging standards.

Week 3

Session 3-1

Learning about the different battery technologies used in electric vehicles and the concept of battery swapping. Students will utilize MATLAB Simulink to understand how batteries work and explore their various components.

Session 3-2

How to analyze an electric vehicle's performance based on four parameters: speed, motor, battery capacity, and road conditions. Students will utilize MATLAB Simulink to test battery and vehicle performance.

Week 4

Session 4-1

Learning how to create an electric vehicle using a two-wheeler spec sheet.

Session 4-2

Comparing the financial feasibility between internal combustion engine vehicles and electric vehicles through their total cost of ownership.
