Week 1

Session 1-1

Masterclass about MADU: Company's mission and objectives. Researching the current business sphere that MADU is targeting.

Session 1-2

Importance of gathering more data from the web to enhance MADU's algorithm. Prepare a brief presentation summarizing your findings.

Week 2

Session 2-1

What is web scraping and how to do it via a Python Jupyter Notebook? Set up a web scraping notebook. Set up a Jupyter Notebook environment with relevant Python packages for scraping.

Session 2-2

Understand how to read and scrape HTML elements of an e-commerce website. Learn and analyze the HTML elements of a few e-commerce websites. Study one e-commerce web page, and share your understanding of its HTML structure.

Week 3

Session 3-1

You will learn about how to use Requests & BeautifulSoup packages, start web scraping e-commerce website, and write code to scrape a few pages and study the responses.

Session 3-2

You will learn about how to use BeautifulSoup's built-in functions to extract data from a response, extract relevant data from the response, and write code to extract data from targeted HTML elements.

Week 4

Session 4-1

You will learn about how to develop a web scraper to collect all the data from an e-commerce website, create a web scraper, design the scraping logic and write code to scrape the data from an e-commerce website to create a dataset.

Session 4-2

You will analyze collected data using Pandas and present the findings directly to CTO.
