Objective: Understand what social research is and why it is important. Lecture: The process of social research and how to use Kkalo’s AI-powered research tools Hands-on Activity: Choose a social research topic and develop hypotheses Assignment: Create a draft of your survey questionnaire

Week 2

Session 2-1

Objective: Experience the process of conducting and promoting a social survey. Lecture: Common challenges in conducting research and strategies to overcome them Hands-on Activity: Promote your survey online to gather responses Assignment: Organize and summarize the survey results by age, location, and gender.

Session 2-2

Objective: Experience the process of analyzing results and testing hypotheses. Lecture: Basic concepts and methods of statistical and cross-tabulation analysis Hands-on Activity: Test hypotheses through cross-tab analysis and summarize key findings Assignment: Analyze the underlying causes of the key results obtained.

Week 3

Session 3-1

Objective: Experience the process of drawing final conclusions based on social research results. Lecture: How to derive conclusions based on research objectives and hypotheses Hands-on Activity: Formulate conclusions and write a brief research report Assignment: Create a list of media outlets where your research topic could potentially be published as a news article.

Session 3-2

Objective: Gain hands-on experience in drafting press releases and news articles based on social research findings. Lecture: How to write media-friendly press releases and article drafts grounded in research results Hands-on Activity: Draft a press release and news article; submit them to relevant media outlets Assignment: Monitor media coverage and responses to your submission

Objective: Understand how social research findings can lead to public discourse and issue awareness. Lecture: Case studies of domestic and international social research leading to public engagement Hands-on Activity: Plan alternative methods of public engagement beyond media submission, based on your research topic Assignment: Collect and analyze case studies of issue-based public engagement that interest you

Objective: Understand how to evaluate the impact of social research and public engagement efforts. Lecture: The societal impact of social research and issue-based public discourse Hands-on Activity: Evaluate the social impact of the research and public engagement activities carried out during this internship
